To begin, press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone

Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen

Swipe to the right to enter your passcode

Find and tap on the Amazon application icon

Tap on the small icon in the top-right that looks like a silhouette of a shopping cart

At the moment, there is an orange "0" in the icon because we don't have any items in the cart. As we can see, opening the application took us to the home screen where it offers us the most popular items, and the items it thinks we'll like. Tap on the yellow "Continue Shopping" button to continue

Scroll down until you see two yellow bars and tap on the second bar that says "Add to Cart" and has a stylized image of a shopping cart

A pop-up will notify us that the item has been added to our shopping cart. Tapping on the first bar will allow us to purchase the item.

As we can see, the small shopping cart icon in the top-right corner now indicates that we have one item in the cart

To view the item in the shopping cart, tap on the shopping cart icon again

To delete an item from our shopping cart, we can tap on the "Delete" button, which is the middle option in the gray bars near the bottom

It will delete without asking us for a confirmation.
